\"green<\/a>PERMANENT RESIDENCE\u00a0(\u201cGREEN CARD\u201d)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Green cards may be obtained by various means, in particular the following:<\/p>\n

1. Through winning the \u201cimmigration lottery<\/strong>\u201d (Diversity Visa, or DV<\/strong>) Please note that we no longer file DV applications and refer our clients to \u00a0France Service<\/a><\/strong>, which has an outstanding track record in this field. Every year we handle the preparation and filing of lottery winners\u2019 applications.<\/p>\n

2. Via an employer\u2019s petition<\/strong>\u00a0(EB-2\/EB-3<\/strong>.) This, depending on the employee\u2019s qualifications, can take many years.<\/p>\n

3. Via an investment<\/strong> in the United States of at least $500,000 (EB-5<\/strong>). Not to be confused with the non-immigrant E-2 Treat Investor Visa<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

4. By self-petition<\/strong>\u00a0for persons of extraordinary ability<\/strong> (EB-1<\/strong>.) The eligibility criteria are similar to those of\u00a0O and P visas<\/a><\/strong>.)<\/p>\n

5. By marriage<\/strong> to a United States citizen, or, after many years, to a Permanent Resident, or by other family-based relationship.<\/strong><\/p>\n
